Henrietta Fullard
has served the people of the 31st Councilmanic District
in several capacities for the last 25 years. Truly
the dynamics of this service are far reaching. However,
in this new Millennium, their needs to be a new
vision for new reforms in education, economic development,
job training and development, environment and community
resources, and human and people services.
Our neighborhoods need to be in the best economic
health that will support the carrying capacity of
its constituents. Our schools must serve all children
and provide for them the tools that they will need
in order to become wholesome, responsible, and productive
citizens. Henrietta Fullard has taught thousands
of students in Southeast Queens. She is committed
to educational reform. As High School Principal,
she formed collaborations with two major federal
agencies, NASA and US Dept. of Agriculture.
As founder of the Bethel Arverne Community Development
Corporation, she developed community projects, activities,
and awareness for economic growth in her community.
Included are the Rock and Wrap Food Service which
feeds 200 persons daily and the Home Health Aide
Training Program which has graduated three classes.
She initiated dialogue with NYCHA, HPD, and HUD.
She has organized the community around issues of
violence, voter registration campaigns, working
families and education. She’s a strong voice for
a New Millennium. As City Council Member, she will
bring a NEW strength that is needed in a new City
Council for the New Millennium.
