1. What is the most important issue in Council District 29 you would address if elected?

The responsibility of educating our youth is the most important issue in this community. Concerns include overcrowding, administrative glitches, safety and peer relationships. Many of these issues can be addressed in a proactive manner by regularly scheduled communication with principals and parents prior to the beginning of every school year so that problems are corrected before students enter the building in September. Other positive initiatives can include sports and extracurricular activities amongst neighboring schools, aggressive lobbying to the Chancellor and School Construction Authority for news schools and expansions to existing schools.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

We need to be proactively involved in zoning issues to assure that the character of the community remains intact; promote awareness for senior-citizens to empower them to take full advantage of all available medical, social, and financial programs; work towards better assimilation of our growing multi-cultural constituents while preserving all cultural identity; and revitalize our civic associations and community boards that serve to educate and advocate for all community residents and local businesses.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

The issues that affect our community affect me personally. As a father of three, and an involved resident of the community, the success of our neighborhood equates to success for all of us. Most importantly, I am proactive and approachable; I believe that my success is dependent on both the empowerment of the community and open communication between myself and all residents.
